Former UF standout Solaun scores Jamaica’s first World Cup goal

Jamaica got its first Women’s World Cup goal when Havana Solaun, a former University of Florida standout, scored in the 49th minute in Tuesday’s 4-1 loss to Australia.

Solaun was a co-captain of Florida’s 2013 (co-SEC champions) and 2014 (NCAA Elite Eight) teams. She was a 2013 and 2014 All-SEC first teamer. She turned in 92 points as a Gator off 30 goals and 32 assists.

She played with two NWSL teams and is currently with Klepp IL in Norway.
