Fans interested in getting a glimpse at 2017 UF signee Isaiah Stokes can do so next weekend in Ocala.

The 6-foot-8, 273-pound Stokes will play for IMG Academy when they face The Rock on Saturday, Jan. 21., at 6:30 p.m., during the first game of the Vince Murray Memorial Challenge at Vanguard High School.

Stokes, a four-star prospect and younger brother of former Tennessee and NBA forward Jarnell Stokes, signed with UF last month. He’s one of three signed members of UF’s 2017 class, a list that includes forward Chase Johnson and swingman DeAundrae Ballard. Three/four-star, 6-4 point guard Michael Okauru also committed to UF last month and will sign in April to become the fourth player in UF’s 2017 class.

IMG’s team also features 2018 power forward prospect Emmitt Williams. A four-star recruit, the 6-7, 210-pound Williams has offers from Florida, FSU, Kansas and Florida State.

IMG will face The Rock at 6:30 p.m., followed by Dunnellon vs. Vanguard at 8 p.m. in the doubleheader presented by Nike Team Florida.

The event honors Vince Murray, a former Ocala Star Banner writer who was tireless in his efforts to promote basketball in Marion County.
