Per the webiste Draftexpress.com, former Florida center Patric Young has accepted an invite to the NBA draft combine May 14-18 in Chicago.
The 6-foot-9, 240-pound Young is projected as a mid-to-late second round draft pickĀ (Draftexpress has Young going 40th overall to Minnesota Timberwolves in latest mock draft). Young averaged 11 points and 6.2 rebounds in his senior season while earning SEC defensive player of the year honors to help lead Florida to its fifth Final Four appearance in school history.
The website said the status of Florida seniors Casey Prather and Scottie Wilbekin remain up in the air. Wilbekin’s father, Svend Wilbekin, said the SEC player of the year has signed with agent Andy Miller and is working out at Elevate Training Academy in Boca Raton.
