Former Gator standouts Al Horford and Corey Brewer are currently helping promote basketball overseas.
Horford and Brewer are among a group of five NBA players taking part in the NBA’s Basketball without Borders program in Southeast Asia.
The event, being held Monday through Thursday in Singapore, will unite the top 50 young basketball players from 22 countries across Asia. It plans to promote basketball and encourage positive social change in the area of education, health and wellness.
Horford and Brewer helped lead the Gators to back-to-back national titles in 2006 and 2007. Horford just completed an All-Star season with the Atlanta Hawks and Brewer completed his third season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
