Florida freshman forward Allan Chaney has been suspended for the rest of the season, coach Billy Donovan said following UF’s 74-60 win over Miami.
Chaney, already out for the season injury-wise with a sprained arch, was not on the team bench Friday night.
“I am not going to go into the details of it,” Donovan said. “First of all he is injured but there are other things that he’s dealt with. But he will not be on the bench with us against Tuesday night against Penn State and he will not make the trip to New York with us if we make it (to the NIT semifinals.)”
Asked if Chaney was still part of the team, Donovan responded: “Right now, he is.”
