Some things I’m hearing from Florida preseason individual and team skill workouts, which began Sept. 15.
*Nick Calathes suffered a mild groin injury in early September, but is currently back at 100 percent.
*Of the freshman big men, Kenny Kadji is progressing faster than Eloy Vargas. Vargas has been slowed after having surgery over the summer to remove bone spurs on his ankle.
*Jai Lucas may be the sophomore that makes the biggest leap this season. Lucas is a bit stronger and is playing with more confidence in practice.
