Add three more dates to UF’s yet-to-be released men’s basketball schedule.
Tennessee, which released its 2008-09 men’s basketball schedule Tuesday, will face Florida on Jan. 31 in Knoxville and in Gainesville on March 1.
Ole Miss, which released its schedule last week, will play Florida at the O’Connell Center on Jan. 10.
So the current confirmed UF hoops schedule is as follows:
Nov. 30 ” Missouri-Kansas City, at Amway Arena, Orlando
Dec. 28 ” Winthrop, at BankAtlantic Center, Sunrise
Jan. 3 ” North Carolina State
Jan. 10 ” Ole Miss
Jan. 31 ” at Tennessee
March 1 ” Tennessee
March 12-15 ” SEC Tournament at St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa
Florida traditionally releases its schedule in late August, early September, later than most SEC schools. So we’ll keep trying to fill in dates as other teams finalize their schedules.
Tennessee fans can get a sneak peak at the Vols from Nov. 27-30 at the Old Spice Classic, held at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex. The Vols return starters Wayne Chism and Tyler Smith from their Sweet 16 team last season. Point guard Ramar Smith and forward Duke Crews were kicked off the team over the offseason.
