If you see Al Horford and Taurean Green around town the next couple of weeks, don’t be surprised.

Green and Horford, part of the magical 2004 class that led Florida to
back-to-back national titles in 2006-07, have returned to Florida to
enroll in classes for the first summer session.

Classmate Corey Brewer wanted to join then, but his offseason workout schedule with the Minnesota Timberwolves conflicted with the six-week class period.

It’s clear that Green and Horford have returned to work toward their degrees, which would help boost Florida’s current Academic Progress Rate score and, more importantly, provide a foundation for life after basketball. Green, Horford, Brewer and Joakim Noah all left school as juniors, shy of graduation.
