Florida coach Billy Donovan intended to make it to New York City to watch Al Horford, Corey Brewer and Joakim Noah get picked in tonight’s NBA Draft.
But due to air traffic problems in the Northeast, Donovan was unable to make the trip.
“He looked into different airports,” team spokesman Fred Demarest said. “We waited up until two and a half hours before the draft but it just didn’t work out.
“He feels terribly about. He’s called all of the guys personally and told them he wishes them well.”
Horford, Noah and Brewer are expected to get picked in the top 10 of tonight’s draft at Madison Square Garden.
