While former Gators Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer and Al Horford will spend Thursday night at the NBA draft green room in New York City, point guard Taurean Green will stay closer to home.
Green intends to spend the night at his family’s home in suburban Orlando. There will be no large gathering. Instead, Green will spend the night with his parents, Sidney and Dee Dee Green.
“He just wants to stay home and have a nice home-cooked meal,” Dee Dee Green said. “He’s a little tired of all the traveling and the workouts.”
Green, projected as a high-to-mid second round pick, has workouts remaining today with New Orleans Hornets and Tuesday with the Utah Jazz. He’ll return home Wednesday.
“He’s been working his tail off,” Dee Dee Green said.
