An NBA scout who watched former Florida point guard Taurean Green at the NBA predraft camp in Orlando came away impressed with his overall game.
“He shoots and passes it,” the scout said. “He attacks big guys on the floor when they are vulnerable and has a knack for drawing fouls when he gets into the lane. It’s playground instincts and some of that probably comes from his dad (former NBA forward Sidney Green).”
The main concerns for Green come at the defensive end, where at 6-foot he’ll be asked to guard bigger guards on a night-in, night-out basis: “He’ll have to get up in them with his quickness,” the scout said. “He’ll have to pressure people, be a pest.”
