A change of heart

Taurean Green was the last of the Florida juniors to sign with an agent
earlier this week when he chose Andy Miller of ASM Sports, whose
clients include Kevin Garnett and Chauncey Billups.

Florida fans may remember Andy Miller’s name well. He was the same fledgling agent who heavily pursued former Florida standout Mike Miller as an underclassmen following the 1999-2000 season. The unsolicited courting got so intense that Florida coach Billy Donovan threatened to get Miller the agent de-certified.

Times have changed. Donovan and Miller are now close. When Taurean Green entered the draft process, he sought advice from Donovan. That led Green to sign with Miller.

Green will now spend the next few weeks preparing for the NBA predraft camp, where the 5-foot-10 point guard will look to improve his stock as a mid to late second-round pick.

“I think the more people see him out of a Florida uniform, the more they will like what he did in a Florida uniform,” Miller told the St. Petersburg Times.
