In my bracket I have Florida returning to the Final Four from the Midwest,
Kansas from the West, Georgetown from the East and Ohio State from the
South (that’s three No. 1s and a No. 2 seed). Kansas will beat Florida in
the rematch of the Las Vegas Invitational at the Final Four in Atlanta.
Ohio State will beat Georgetown in an entertaining battle of big men
(Georgetown’s Roy Hibbert vs. Ohio State’s Greg Oden). Kansas beats Ohio
State for the national title, ending the curse of Danny Manning.
First-round upset specials
Virginia Commonwealth over Duke ” ex-Florida assistant Anthony Grant will
get the best of the disinterested Blue Devils.
Albany (N.Y.) over Virginia — Had top-seed Connecticut nearly buried last
March. Senior Jabari Wilson is the best guard no one knows about.
Oral Roberts over Washington State — Hey, these guys beat Kansas, they
have to be pretty good.
Winthrop over Oregon ” Sensing a theme, here. The Pac 10 is overrated.
