UF entertains Stony Brook for weekend series

No. 1 Florida hosts a three-game series against Stony Brook this weekend, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday at McKethan Stadium.

All three games (4 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday) this weekend will stream live on SEC Network+ via the WatchESPN app.

UF is scheduled to throw its regular weekend pitching rotation: Brady Singer (2-0, 2.25 ERA), Jackson Kowar (2-0, 2.77) and Tyler Dyson (1-1, 1.50).

Stony Brook will throw RHP Greg Mariano (0-0, 4.00 ERA) today, then RHP Bret Clarke (1-0, 2.00) and RHP Brian Herrmann (2-0, 1.80)

 Florida is 4-0 all time against Stony Brook. The last time the two teams met, Florida swept the Seawolves in a three-game series in 2015.
    • Senior JJ Schwarz and Jonathan India lead UF with four home runs each. Schwarz has 41 career home runs and 199 career RBI to rank fourth all-time in UF history in career RBI and fifth in home runs.
  • Junior Blake Reese leads the Gators with 11 runs batted in.
