Dolphins coach Brian Flores will have two top-20 picks in the 2021 NFL Draft.

It's official. The Miami Dolphins will have the third and 18th overall picks in the 2021 NFL Draft.

While the Dolphins missed out on the playoffs Sunday with a loss to the Bills coupled with results elsewhere going against Miami — Ravens, Browns and Colts winning — they will have a top-three selection in the upcoming draft.

That's because the Houston Texans lost to the Tennessee Titans, and former Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Thanks to a trade last season that shipped Kenny Stills and Laremy Tunsil to the Texans, the Dolphins own the rights to the Texans' first-round pick in 2021.

The Texans, who fired head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien after an 0-4 start, finished 4-12, behind the Jets and Jaguars in draft order, but ahead of the 4-12 Falcons.

The Dolphins' original pick is No. 18 as the team with the best record not to make the 14-team NFL postseason.

The Dolphins had three first-round draft picks last year, including the fifth overall pick. They selected quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at No. 5, offensive lineman Austin Jackson at No. 18 and cornerback Noah Igbinoghene at No. 30.

This year, they may be looking to add more offensive weapons for Tagovailoa.
