Update: Tennessee tweeted that the game is scheduled to resume at 6:55 p.m. ET/5:55 p.m. CT.

The Tennessee Lady Vols vs. Missouri softball semifinal game of the 2022 Southeastern Conference Tournament was delayed by lightning in the fifth inning.

Lightning was reported within 8 miles of the field and caused the game to be paused at about 4:25 p.m. ET.

Teams had to be off the field for a minimum of 30 minutes, so the game could not resume prior to 4:55 p.m. ET.

At the time the game went into a delay, Missouri led Tennessee 2-0 with two outs in the top of the fifth inning.

No. 3 seed Tennessee came into the matchup 39-15 overall. Most recently, the Lady Vols beat Mississippi State 1-0 in 13 innings on Thursday during the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.

No. 7-seed Missouri entered the game 35-19 overall. On Thursday, Missouri defeated Alabama 3-0 in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals.
