LSU football star wide receiver Kayshon Boutte left the Tigers' game at Kentucky in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.

SEC Network's Cole Cubelic reported that Boutte was carted into the locker room and would get X-rays. LSU coach Ed Orgeron did not give an update on Boutte's status postgame.

Boutte led the Tigers with eight catches for 73 yards, including an incredible 37-yard catch along the sideline during which he got injured. The sophomore receiver from New Iberia came into the game with a nation-leading nine touchdown catches and was a bright spot on an up-and-down Tigers offense.

Little of the news for LSU was of any good on Saturday in Lexington, given the 42-21 loss to the Wildcats. The Tigers allowed 329 rushing yards and trailed 35-7 at one point.

This story will be updated.
