LSU football kickoff time announced for Mississippi State

LSU football’s SEC opener at Mississippi State on Sept. 25 is set for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff on ESPN.

LSU coach Ed Orgeron fired Pelini as part of a staff-wide purge. Orgeron replaced Pelini with Minnesota Vikings defensive back coach Daronte Jones, a protégé of former DC Dave Aranda.

The Tigers host Central Michigan on Saturday (6:30 p.m., SEC Network).
