Hewitt-Trussville's two-sport star Riley Quick announced his commitment to the University of Alabama on Monday, choosing baseball over football.

Quick was named to the 2021 Alabama All-State baseball team as a pitcher and is ranked the No. 1 offensive line prospect in the state by 247 Sports.

As one of the top two-sport athletes in the class of 2022, Quick received offers to play baseball and football at Alabama.

The 6-foot-5 right-hander chose to focus on baseball, opting not to commit as a two-sport athlete.

He has a fastball that sits in the 90s and could see early action with the departures and injuries from the 2020 NCAA Tournament team.

Quick is familiar with Alabama. His brother Pierce is a redshirt sophomore with three games of experience on the offensive line for the football team.
