Oral Roberts beats Ohio State in OT, becomes ninth-ever 15 seed to upset 2 seed

The first Cinderella has officially crashed the big dance. 

No. 15 seed Oral Roberts knocked off No. 2 seed Ohio State 75-72 in overtime. 

Oral Roberts is the ninth 15th seed to defeat a two seed. The Eagles are the first 15th seed to win a first-round game since Middle Tennessee State defeated Michigan State in 2016. 

Kevin Obanor led the Eagles with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Max Abmas, the leading scorer in the nation, added 29 points.

Florida Golf Coast defeated Georgetown as a 15 seed in 2013. Lehigh and Norfolk State won as 15 seeds in 2013 beating Duke and Missouri, respectively. 

Richmond was the first-ever 15 seed to win a tournament game. The Spiders beat Syracuse 73-69 in 1991.
