Alabama linebacker King Mwikuta and walk-on defensive lineman LT Ikner have put their names in the transfer portal, The Tuscaloosa News has confirmed.

Mwikuta competed in 11 games in 2020 as a sophomore with his lone tackle coming against Arkansas in punt coverage. Over two seasons with the Crimson Tide, Mwikuta played in 21 games with one solo tackle and four assists.

Ikner, who transferred from Hutchinson Community College, did not see playing time in his lone season with Alabama in 2020.

Mwikuta, a West Point, Georgia, native, received a four-star ranking in high school. He could have provided depth for a talented linebacker group with Will Anderson and Christopher Allen returning as starters at the outside linebacker spots.

Other outside linebackers are set to return as well, such as sophomores Quandarrius Robinson, Chris Braswell and Drew Sanders. Sanders played in 11 games with nine total tackles in 2020.
