Gators move up in college football rankings

With the Big Ten and Pac-12 teams removed from the first regular season college football rankings Sunday, Florida moved up from preseason No. 8 despite not playing a game.

The Gators were ranked No. 6 and No. 5 team in the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25, respectively, on Sunday.

UF opens its season Sept. 26 at Ole Miss.
