Hurricane Laura damage: Aerial pictures, drone footage of the storm's aftermath
The extent of the damage caused by Hurricane Laura's historic Category 4 landfall became evident at daylight.
Residents woke up to find trees uprooted, homes ripped apart and several areas with experiencing flooding after the storm made landfall near Cameron, Louisiana, with sustained wind speeds of 150 mph. More than 650,000 residents were also without power throughout the morning.
