The day after junior defensive end Zachary Carter announced on Twitter he'll be playing football for the Gators this fall, junior wide receiver Trevon Grimes did the same.

After opting out of the first week of preseason camp, Grimes posted on Twitter that he will be returning. In response to a Tweet saying it sounds like Grimes will play this fall, he posted the following: "Not sound ... I will."

Grimes' return is crucial for the wide receiver group, which has two other likely starters — Jacob Copeland and Kadarius Toney — still missing from practice and considering opting out this season.

UF coach Dan Mullen said earlier this week that news concerning players opting out would have to come from the players. Grimes and Carter have shared their news, while the Gators are still waiting on Toney and Copeland.
