Georgia coach Mark Richt sent a letter to the Southeastern Conference apologizing for the actions of his team Saturday following the Bulldogs’ first touchdown against Florida in a 42-30 win Saturday.

SEC commissioner Mike Slive has accepted Richt’s apology and considers the matter closed, according to SEC associate commissioner Charles Bloom.

Following Knowshon Moreno’s touchdown in the first quarter, the entire Georgia team rushed the field causing the officials to call two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. Richt said later he told his team if it didn’t get a celebration penalty the Bulldogs would be doing early-morning runs this week.
