Urban Meyer is in the house.
The Florida football coach flew up to Atlanta with assistants Charlie Strong and Billy Gonzales as well as Meyer’s son Nate to see the Final Four.
They made it in time for both games. Meyer, as everyone knows, has ties to Ohio State. But he was in the Georgia Dome to see the Gators, just as he did a year ago when he flew to Indianapolis for the national title game.
The Gator football entourage will fly home Saturday night and Meyer plans to come back Monday night if UF is in the title game.
What the Gator coaches and a packed Georgia Dome saw in the first game was that Roy Hibbert is a lot better than he was a year ago when Florida played Georgetown and that Greg Oden is a lot better than he was in December when Florida spanked the Buckeyes.
All I know is that somehow my pick of Ohio State winning it all in my bracket is still alive.
