The Cincinnati Reds signed Florida junior catcher Mark Kolozsvary on Tuesday.
Cincinnati drafted Kolozsvary in the seventh round of last month’s MLB draft. Kolozsvary, who batted .276 in 46 games this season for the national champion Gators, agreed to a bonus of $150,000, according to a report, which is $68,800 below the slot value for the pick.

Junior shortstop Dalton Guthrie is expected to sign this week with the Philadelphia Phillies, who selected him in the sixth round last month and had him in town over the holiday weekend.

Matt den Dekker was designated for assignment Wednesday by the Detroit Tigers to make room for another outfielder on the active roster. Den Dekker, who previously spent parts of two seasons in both New York with the Mets and in Washington with the Nationals, had just one hit, one walk and one run scored in eight plate appearances spread across four games for Detroit. He also struck out four times.
