Gainesville Super Regional resumes at 8:08 p.m.

The Gainesville Super Regional at McKethan Stadium resumed at 8:08 p.m. after a three hour and 49-minute weather/lightning delay with No. 3 national seed Florida holding a 1-0 lead entering the bottom of the fourth inning. The game will be on ESPNews.

Florida ace Alex Faedo struck out nine through four innings. He struck out the side twice.
The Gators scored their run in the third inning on a RBI groundout by Dalton Guthrie. Mike Rivera had singled, Deacon Liput walked and Jonathan India bunted them over a base. Guthrie’s grounder to first allowed Rivera to score from third. JJ Schwarz then it a fly ball to centerfield for the final out of the inning.
