This weekend, 32 current and former Florida student-athletes will participate in fall graduation ceremonies at Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
Graduate notes:
*Three were part of Gator NCAA championship teams – Mike Harris (2016 & 2017 outdoor track & field / 2018 & 2019 indoor track & field), Garrett Milchin (2017 baseball) and Colin Schaefer (2017 outdoor track & field / 2018 & 2019 indoor track & field).
*Taylor Lewis returned to finish his degree after he was selected in 2015 Major League Baseball draft.
*Among Florida’s graduates are 19 who earned Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll accolades.
*Dennis Gross (football) graduates magna cum laude with degree in international studies.
*Noah Banks (football), Katie Chronister (softball), Mike Harris (track & field) and Laura Jones (track & field), graduate cum laude.
2012 and 2016 Olympic triple jump gold medalist Christian Taylor walks across the Exactech Arena stage Saturday to receive his Sports Management degree. Taylor was listed among Florida’s summer 2019 graduates but couldn’t participate in the commencement ceremonies as he was competing overseas. He claimed his fourth World crown this summer in Doha, Qatar. Taylor won four NCAA triple jump titles as a Gator (2009, 2010 indoor; 2010, 2011 outdoor).
