NCAA soccer action continues at Dizney Stadium on UF campus

NCAA soccer tournament continues at Florida’s Dizney Stadium this weekend for second and third round play.

No. 16 Florida advanced after its opening NCAA match for the 17th time in the program’s 21 appearances. The Gators (15-6) will face No. 25 South Florida (13-3-2), which defeated Florida Gulf Coast 3-0 in its NCAA tourney opener Saturday, in the second round at 6 p.m. Friday. Tennessee (15-4-1) plays Washington (10-7-3) in the earlier match Friday at 2 p.m. The winners play at 2 p.m. Sunday for a berth in the tourney quarterfinals.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for children (12 and under), students and senior citizens. Ticket sales begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Gator Ticket Office, located at Gate 1 of the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Contact the UAA Ticket Office at 375-4683, Ext. 6800 for more info.

NCAA quarterfinal action will be Nov. 24 or 25 on four campus sites with the Women’s College Cup set for Dec. 1 and 3 at the Orlando City Stadium in Orlando.

This is the fourth consecutive year NCAA second- and third-round action appears at Dizney Stadium.
