TY Sylvester. Guess I just enjoy sitting in my living room listening to Mick Huber while watching the game on TV in mute mode. I think it’s WDAE’s loss, but to listen to their PR for the USF Bulls you would think USF is heading for the national championship game. LOL. Vanderbilt will be in the national title game before USF–and i will be long gone from this earth. USF football is, to me, Div.-II football, playing UConn, Louisville, Memphis St. and a host of other big-time basketball schools. Unfortunately, this is football we are talking about. USF instead of the Gators? Spare me. LOL again.

Yeah, I’m one of the older Gator fans who remember when Gators played Miami every year. Let’s hope the 80s and 90s Canes ghost does not reappear. PS: I am so old I remember George Mira’s left-handed TD pass to beat the GAtors @ 1972. I remember Jones’ one-handed catch, stumbling backwards, to score and beat the Canes in 1984. Nice post from you.

Which combination is the best Gator football uniform?
My opinion is the home standard of Gator Blue and White pants with Orange trim.
I do like the orange jerseys on occasion. Sports Illus. several years ago had Gator uniform schemes in Top 10 of college football. They had the USC Trojan colors as No. 1. Jeez.

It is no secret in college football that Southern Cal knows how to get its players and their famiies “benefits.” I used to work in LA as a reporter and the rumors were there every year. Likes”Why is Reggie Bush driving a brand new Mercedes?” AND MORE.Goodbye Steele–and now you can get that MASERATI you couldn’t get at Florida.

Here are my predictions: FSU will finish in the Top 10. Florida will be 6-6. OH, Wait a minute. I was just regurgitating what Todd Schayes predicted for the 2018 season. I should look at the dates of these predictions before opening my mouth. Just saying, all you guys are right on. These FEARLESS PROGNOSTICATORS who get paid for this just go to last year’s predictions.

FOR ME, IT IS ALWAYS THE ‘WHOLES,’ FROM TALLAHASSEE. (CHANGE THE L TO AN R. LOL)
Last game of regular season and a win stays with Gators througout the offseaason, regardless of any SEC or Bowl games.

GOOD STUFF. Coaches can never be 100 percent sure a high-school star will be the same at the next level, particularly at a Power 5 conference school. In my opinion, Hayes and Allen did not improve from their freshman years. Hudson seems to be a case of mental collapse. Where did his 14.6 ppg from last year go? Oh well. Seems I’ve beaten all the flesh off this horse. It is WAIT TIL NEXT YEAR time. For Coach White, 2019-20 is a make or break season. Only an NCAA invite will save him. And 2020-21 could well be a Final Four appearance for the Gators.
If not, it will be a final farewell for White–in my humble opinion.

The FBI are currently looking for Jalen Hudson, a missing person since he went to the Bahamas. There is a Jalen Hudson on the Gator bench, but reports are agents are looking for a guy who averages 15 a game, is a starter, and plays with confidence. Not the Hudson on the bench. Please report any sighting to Mike White and Gator coaches.

The expectations will rise–or fall–with the play of Franks. Hopefully he continues his improvement. The next level is an elite college QB. Right now, he improved tremendously over his dismal frosh year. His soph season showed what good coaching and eye for the tapes of the opponents defense will do for a QB. He has gone from poor to good. Next step: ? I do know t

The only good news for the future is that White’s 2020 class is a Top 5. assuming all those commits actually sign. For 2019-20 season, everything depends upon a PG and leadership. Oh, snd make some 3 pointer An NIT bid this seaason would be an overachievement at this point.

Expect to battle Georgia for SEC East. A 10-win regular season is an expectation. I do not think a NC is an expectation.

Lucas Krull is ALREADY ON THE GATOR ROSTER. He is No.7. He is a red-shirt soph, is 6 ft. 3 in, 235 pounds and will bE e a BEAST next year with more playing time. Krull committed 2 years ago and gave baseball a one-year try. He is the only Gator who hAs completed 100 -% of this throw. A 15-yard left hand strike to Franks to the 3 that set up a TD.

Mike Winter, aka BlackJuJu has returned as postroute. We will not see that name again on this site, but Postroute or whatever his/her name is will be back under a different user name.

Mvveal: You are right on about the algorithims. Here’s another one:

USF attendance is about 30,000 a game at RayJay stadium in Tampa, a 15-20 minute drive from anywhere in the Bay area. Gators complain when they only get 80,000—and everyone of them makes a 1-3 hour drive to get to Gainesville. Take a marketing survey of Gator fans who attend the game. See how much they spend every weekend they go to Gainesville, and what they buy when home, then do the same for the 30,000 bumpkins who got to a USF game. And you are right about USF. They are a MINOR university and have NO CHANCE of ever competing for a national title. It’s all economics. I think I can get the Gators on 930 AM or 1210 AM (wauchula radio), unless some station steps up to get the 11th largest media market in the US for Gator games. And who would EVER WANT to listen to a USF basketball game. And I played at USF back in the day when they first started Bball. Getting 2,000 fans at a bball game is a big deal at USF.

Stl Gator: I like the Gator secondary. A lot of returning DBs plus former starter Wilson is back from injury.
