Like on an ”Impractical Jokers” episode, ”What does that mean? I don’t understand, what does that mean?” Seriously, I missed your meaning altogether, so sorry.

Hey GI….I just flipped over here because the headline was interesting. Noticed that pinesgator actually posted it 23 Oct 17. I’m not sure, memory bad, was that about the time Mac got fired?

You know, you’re right… again, Gator-6. I didn’t even pay attention to the date.
I think it is about FORMER Coach Mac. But I thought it was new, as I visit these ”Forums” daily, and I never saw this post before.
But that show ”Impractical Jokers” on Tru-TV is straight-up hilarious, just for your info.
Take care and talk soon, Gator-6.

”McElwain: Florida players, families have received death threats.”
Gator-6, That was the HEADLINE for Gatorsports.com on said date. As I had to comeback and check, it was driving me crazy not knowing. I still don’t know how the ”Nazis” have anything to do with it. With today’s political heated rhetoric, Nazi name-calling ain’t cool… ever! Take care!

Yeah it sure ain’t. Most of the time it’s meant to be a dig at either conservatives, which I don’t get since Nazis were the socialist party of Germany, or at Christians — which I don’t get either. Oh well, we all fall short of the glory from time to time….at least we know how the story ends if not when.

GI, I believe the post was in reference to the white supremacist group that held a forum on UF’s campus around that time last year. UF tried to fight it, but ultimately couldn’t prevent the group from convening on UF’s campus. The victory was that there wasn’t the violence and death that was expected due to the correct handling of the situation by the Gator Nation. I believe one of their other stops was in Virginia where someone protesting the group was run over by a van, or just violence in general (not positive though).
Correct me if I’m wrong 🙂

T-Rex, the more I think about it, that was the date of that crazy Nazi speaker at the Performing Arts Center. And in fairness to all of those involved that crazy day, it was more than just U.P.D. As it was the Alachua County Sherriff Dept., G.P.D., the F.H.P., and some out of town departments, too. I was so PROUD of my birth place and hometown, Hogtown! After living through ”the student murders” from 1990, they straight-up handled things! And the original author was right.
      Thanks T-Rex!

Gainesville only has so much excitement in one year, UF must’ve bought the bundle package that month!

The fact that it turned out to be a non event speaks for itself and the integrity of our university and its students, fans, etc. My guess is that most of the “crowd” that showed up were the same individuals that are always present with camera phones on standby in case a fight broke out or anything happened that could be spun to paint gatornation in a bad light.
I am so glad that they had to leave disappointed and take their hate somewhere else.
