Bo (Nix) didn’t know – how to play in the Swamp when wading in Gators. This was a statement win for Florida.
Overall an impressive Gator performance to build on for the LSU game! Just goes to show the importance of home field and experience at the QB position. Oh, and hiring Coach Dan Mullen by the way.
The Gator offense played better than expected, especially the line in pass blocking and protection. Yet the running game continues to have issues. Our turn this week to go on the road and execute in a deafening playing environment.
It’s tough to fault the Gator defense, especially the play of Reese and Greenard. The A-Z Defense gets the Z back this week. I bet we work on stopping the run, in no to low contact
practices to prepare for the Tigers.
The best part is carrying over the excitement each week with yet another win. Last week’s game was with the Auburn Tigers. The outcome never seemed in doubt. I hope Florida dominates the LSU Tigers this week in an equally impressive manner. Go Gators!
This next Tiger group will be a little tougher in a tough venue. But, a win there, and in a potential trap game at SC, will make the contest in Jacksonville UF’s most significant since the Tebow era’s end.
There’s nothing like an undefeated season where every game builds the anticipation and stakes going forward. We’ve won in Baton Rouge with less talented teams and have loss with more capable ones. I like the attitude and focus of this year’s team.
The wise guys in Vegas don’t give the Gators a chance this Saturday, but this team has risen to every challenge to date. Win this game and the discussion will turn to championship potential.
Doesn’t get much better than this StLGator, does it? As long as we stay undefeated everything is possible.
An early loss in this caliber of game will not hurt the vanquished team as much as one late in the season. A win really turns up the buzz around that SEC program.
As Sam Elliot (CSM Basil Pruitt) said to Mel Gibson (LTC Hal Moore) in the classic movie, “We Were Soldiers Once”. “Sir, Custer was a pussy”. Just substitute Wise Guys for Custer.
A loss would mean UF would have to run the table, and hope LSU wins the SEC west, setting up a re-match in Atlanta, where a win would punch UF’s ticket to the NC playoff. Better we just win, then keep winning, and let everyone else bank on alternate scenarios.
