Several former Gators will spending some of their most important (and most pressure-packed) hours ever on Florida Field on Wednesday morning when they are tested by dozens of NFL coaches and scouts. The draftable Gators will be running the 40-yard dash and various other drills, along with lifting weights and doing the vertical jump. It’s probably a huge day for quarterback Chris Leak, who will have a chance to show the scouts he can make all the throws. At only 6-foot, his height probably is going to be somewhat of an issue with the scouts. His arm strength is another thing the NFL is eager to test. I think the stars of this Gator NFL day will be safety Reggie Nelson, defensive end Jarvis Moss and middle linebacker Brandon Siler. Siler has that classic middle linebacker’s body and I think he’ll blow away the scouts with his speed in the 40 and his quickness and agility in drills.
