While the Gators may still be searching for a running back for 2020, the 2021 class got a boost in the backfield Wednesday.
Brashard Smith, a 5-foot-9 wide receiver/all-purpose back out of Miami Palmetto, verbally committed to the Gators over scholarship offers from a full slate of Power Five programs.

With Smith’s pledge, the Gators hold commitments from nine prospects in a 2021 class ranked No. 4 in the nation by 247Sports.
