Florida’s 2018 class landed a commitment Monday from a highly regarded in-state wide receiver.
Tyquan Thornton, a 6-foot-3, 165-pounder out of Booker T. Washington High in Miami, verbally committed to the Gators and coach Jim McElwain.
McElwain confirmed Thornton’s commitment via his Twitter account.

The No. 69-ranked wide receiver prospect in the 2018 class by 247Sports, Thornton committed to the Gators over scholarship offers from Miami (Fl.) and Tennessee.
With Thornton’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have 14 commits in the 2018 class.
