Florida’s 2018 class landed a commitment Tuesday from a highly recruited offensive lineman out of IMG Academy (Bradenton).
Curtis Dunlap Jr., a 6-foot-4, 365-pound offensive guard, verbally committed to the Gators and coach Jim McElwain via his Twitter account.

“Today would’ve been my father’s 52nd birthday and I couldn’t think of a more special way to honor him other than committing on this day,” Dunlap wrote on his Twitter account.
Dunlap is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 6 overall offensive guard in the 2018 class by 247Sports.
With Dunlap’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a national letter of intent, the Gators have eight commits in the 2018 class.
