Florida’s 2019 football recruiting class does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.
The Gators and coach Jim McElwain received a verbal commitment Monday from Andrew Coker, a 6-foot-7, 335-pound offensive lineman out of Katy, Texas.
Florida became the first program to offer Coker, and the Taylor High product needed less than a month to make a decision after picking up the offer May 8.
“I would like to thank everyone who has supported me on this amazing journey,” Coker wrote on his Twitter account. “I have been working my whole life for this opportunity.”
With Coker’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, Florida has eight commits in the 2019 class.
