Florida’s 2019 class landed a verbal commitment Sunday from a defensive back from Gainesville.
Trent Whittemore, a 6-foot-3 safety from Buchholz High School, announced on his Twitter account his verbal commitment to the Gators.

The son of Buchholz head football coach Mark Whittemore, the Bobcats product also holds offers from South Alabama, Troy and Tulane.
With Whittemore’s verbal commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have six commitments in the 2019 class.
