Over the past month, the Gators Florida have picked up two commitments in the 2018 class.

And with the first Junior Day since National Signing Day arriving, the Gators are looking to further evaluate some prospects on their recruiting board.

Florida’s coaching staff is expecting numerous highly recruited prospects in the 2018 class, including Pat Surtain Jr., Rivals’ No. 1 defensive back in the 2018 class.

The American Heritage High (Plantation, Fl.) standout is expected to bring several of his teammates, including defensive end Andrew Chatfield, linebacker Calvin Hart and wide receiver Anthony Schwartz.

According to Rivals’ Woody Wommack per Blake Alderman, four-star Westlake (Atlanta, Ga.) safety Myles Sims will be in Gainesville for Junior Day.

With already more than 31 offers, Sims’ recruitment hasn’t lacked excitement with nearly a year until his signing day.

The Gators are also expecting four-star offensive tackle Williams Barnes out of Apopka.

The No. 10-ranked OT prospect in the 2018 class by 247Sports, Barnes has had a strong relationship with Florida’s coaching staff after picking up an offer from the Gators on June 4, 2016.

But with Mike Summers at Louisville and new OL coach Brad Davis in the fold, the Gators may have to start from scratch when it comes to Barnes’ recruitment.
