The Gators had hoped to sign a half-dozen mid-year enrollees, but their plans have taken a hit at the last minute.
According to multiple sources, three-star defensive back Shawn Davis (Miami Southridge) is a credit short of meeting Florida’s eligibility requirements and must make up a class in the Spring semester.

Confirmed #Gators DB commit Shawn Davis was short on credits and not able to enroll early. He’ll report in May after he makes up a class.

The No. 50 defensive back in the 2017 class by 247Sports, Davis is one of three cornerbacks currently committed to the Gators.
