Florida’s 2017 class added a much-needed verbal commitment Saturday night.
Kyree Campbell, a four-star defensive tackle from Woodbridge, Virginia, gave the Gators his verbal commitment.
I’m thankful for the schools that have recruited but today I decided to be a Gator for live

UF coach Jim McElwain confirmed the 6-foot-5 prospect’s commitment via Twitter.

Campbell attended preparatory school after signing with the University of North Carolina’s 2016 class.
Florida lost defensive tackles Fred Hansard and Javier Edwards in the span of the week, leaving the defensive tackle position in need of additions.
With Campbell’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a national letter of intent, the Gators have 14 commitments in the 2017 class.
