UF coaches on the road following SEC Championship Game


Florida is back on the road recruiting following Saturday’s 54-16 loss to Alabama in the SEC Championship game.

Gators coach Jim McElwain and offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier are visiting former Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
The former five-star left Waco after Art Briles was let go as head coach.

Running backs coach Tim Skipper is in California visiting Gators commit Elijah Blades. He’ll also make his way to see four-star linebacker Rahyme Johnson. Blades plans on taking an official visit to Gainesville in January.

Chris Rumph and Randy Shannon will visit with three-star JUCO defensive tackle Javier Edwards. The Blinn College (Tx.) prospect decommitted from the Gators earlier Sunday after taking an official visit to Arkansas.

Rumph and Shannon then plan on heading to Austin, Texas, to visit four-star linebacker Levi Jones.

The Westlake High prospect picked up an offer from Florida after the Orange and Blue Spring Game in April.

Kerry Dixon is visiting U.S. Army All-American wide receiver Henry Ruggs.

Torrian Gray and Geoff Collins are visiting Tray Bishop.

The four-star athlete is committed to Auburn as a quarterback, but he’s expressed interest in playing defensive back at the next level.

Tight ends coach Greg Nord will visit Turner County (Ga.) wide receiver Tamorrian Terry.

Offensive line coach Mike Summers is in South Carolina visiting four-star Mallard Creek lineman T.J. Moore.
