The Gators open conference play Saturday in Gainesville against the Kentucky Wildcats at 3:30 p.m.
And it gives the staff an opportunity to show recruits an SEC atmosphere.
Multiple uncommitted prospects with the Gators near the top of their list will be in Gainesville to see the Gators face the Wildcats.
Five-star Sebastian River (Fl.) defensive end Jarez Parks plans to make the trip for UF’s conference opener.
Along with Parks, Laney (Ga.) defensive tackle Tyrone Truesdell is making the trip south to take in the game.
He took an unofficial visit to Florida on Aug. 12, and the staff is excited to get him back on campus.
Five-star 2018 running back Lorenzo Lingard couldn’t make the trip to Gainesville for the opener against UMass due to the weather. But he plans on being in Gainesville – weather permitting – on Saturday.
Along with multiple recruits still evaluating the Gators, Florida expects several verbal commits in Gainesville on Saturday.
Hillsborough (Fl.) defensive end Zach Carter, Tampa Tech (Fl.) receiver Daquon Green, Clearwater (Fl.) running back Adarius Lemons and American Heritage (Fl.) defensive back Marco Wilson all are planning on seeing the Gators face Kentucky.
