Florida had hoped to convince five-star Carver (Ala.) outside linebacker Lyndell ‘Mack’ Wilson to sign with the Gators and spurn Alabama and Georgia.
But now, it looks as if UF has no chance of signing Wilson.
The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder posted a note to his Twitter on Thursday explaining he would no longer be visiting the Gators this weekend.
He took the note down after several minutes and posted no explanation. An hour later he posted when he’ll announce where he will sign.
I will be announcing my commitment at 1:00 Frbeurary 3rd on ESPNU..

Wilson took an official visit to Alabama last weekend, but it still appeared the Gators were in the running to sign him. UF’s coaches arrived at his home in Montgomery on Monday, but according to his note it appears there was a breakdown, or lack thereof, in communication between Wilson’s mother and Florida’s staff.
