Chauncey Gardener is committed to Florida as a cornerback, but we’ll label him as an athlete this week.
The Rivals100 member tried his hand at running back Friday and looked like a natural. Gardner rushed for 154 yards and two scores on just nine touches.
He had touchdown runs of 75 and 38 yards, seen in the highlights below. His offensive explosion led Cocoa to a 48-6 win over Lake Highland Prep.
Gardner visited Georgia over the weekend and will use his remaining officials for Notre Dame (10/17), Alabama (11/7), Ohio State (11/21) and UF (11/28). Despite his planned trips, Gardner is considered one of Florida’s strongest commits for 2016.
