Josh Hammond continues to build a name for himself as a football recruit.
The Florida wide receiver commit shined on the summer camp circuit and did so again Saturday in his team’s season opener.
Hammond got open at will and had more than 100 receiving yards on eight catches, including three touchdowns of 11, 31 and 37 yards. The UF legacy also had a 59-yard touchdown reception called back due to a false start.
His Hallandale team pulled out a 34-26 win against Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove.
Hammond, ranked a top-100 overall prospect by ESPN, reportedly plans to officially visit Georgia for the Alabama game but is considered a solid verbal to the Gators.
