Boudreaux off Florida’s board

Florida’s top offensive guard target is headed out of state for college.

Parker Boudreaux of Orlando Bishop Moore committed Thursday to Notre Dame, choosing the Irish over Clemson, Florida, Georgia Southern and Oklahoma.

With him off the board, the Gators don’t have many guard options at this time.

Solomon Kindley holds an offer from Florida and plays with UF commits JaQuan Bailey and Rick Wells at Jacksonville Raines.

Mount Dora offensive lineman Brett Heggie is being by UF as a center, but could play guard if needed. He visited Gainesville on June 18.

Florid could also try to get in the mix for Washington, D.C., product Richard Merritt, who’s been offered by the Gators and is teammates with one of their top offensive tackle targets, Jauan Williams.

Despite the lack of depth during spring football, UF coach Jim McElwain has improved the offensive line numbers and will return 13 players at the position next year. With junior college prospect Branton Autry and Stone Forsythe already in the fold, the Gators only need to add a couple more linemen to their 2016 class.
