A week after visiting Florida for the first time, four-star wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland has the Gators among his finalists.
The top-100 overall recruit released his top 10 schools Tuesday night on Twitter. UF made the cut along with Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona State, Baylor, Georgia, Houston, Oklahoma, TCU and Texas A&M.
The Gators and Texas teams are considered the favorites for Cleveland, who was formerly committed to the Aggies.
The Under Armour All-American visited UF last Tuesday with Dillon Sterling-Cole, his Houston (Texas) Westfield teammate and Florida’s top quarterback target.
Cleveland told The Sun he’s developed a strong relationship with Jim McElwain and Kerry Dixon, a Houston native. However, Cleveland grew up in Jacksonville and said UF’s proximity to his hometown is appealing.
The 6-foot-3, 189-pounder has yet to set a date for his decision, but added that the latest it would come is at the Under Armour All-America Game.
