Two recruits out of the Orlando area listed Florida in their group of top schools Wednesday.
Four-star offensive guard Parker Boudreaux (6-4, 287) named UF as one of his five finalists, along with Clemson, Georgia Southern, Notre Dame and Oklahoma.
Three-star defensive back Carlos Becker (6-2, 185) has the Gators in his top 10 with Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
Both recruits visited Florida and coach Jim McElwain in the spring. Boudreaux, who holds more than 70 offers, plans to make his commitment before his senior season starts.
“Florida (is) close by, awesome coaches and an uprising program since coach Mac got there,” Boudreaux told Bleacher Report when asked what he liked about the Gators.
Becker has expressed interest in going out-of-state for college, but UF secondary coach Kirk Callahan has actively recruited him since offering in late February. Becker doesn’t have a timetable for his decision.
